This torii was pretty impressive.  It’s on the island of Miyajima, just outside of Hiroshima, Japan.  The torii gate symbolically marks the transition from the non-sacred ground into sacred grounds.  They identify the entrance into a Shinto shrine. This shot was taken at low tide, so you can see how grand it is in comparison to the tiny people that trekked out...
