Hotel Europa

Posted on May 29, 2010 in Architecture, Art & Culture, Europe, Travel |

One of my favorite decorative motifs are swirls. So, this detail of the facade of the hotel caught my eye. Gorgeous Art Nouveau architectural details inside and out. I wish I’d taken more photos. Next time, coffee and a sweet in the cafe!

The Grand Hotel Europa as we know it today, was rebuilt on the former site of another hotel, between 1903 and 1905, in art noveau style. Prague, Czech Republic.

Architects: Bedřich Bendelmayer and Alois Dryák
